Colon Cancer

I just learned from my mom that my Aunt has a cancer in her colon. And mom said that my aunt is not going for any treatment or chemotherapy. She said she is just preparing herself to meet with the Lord. I’m not sure how the kids are taking it. My cousins are already grown up and I wonder if they’re doing something about it. At least if it’s still on the initial stage, I think it can be curable.

When my hub’s cousin found out she had a cancer in lymphoma, it was already on stage 4. The most critical of all stages. And yet, they went for all treatments that could be done take away the cancer. But she died anyway.

I wonder if these cancers could be avoided. Would colon cleansing be one of the ways to avoid it? If yes, then it would be best use the best colon cleanser. Maybe, we could enjoy life a little bit more.

But with life… no one can tell. If your life is up, it is up. Then we have a chance to enjoy what has God prepared for us. And I think this is what my Aunt is doing now. Just wait upon the Lord to decide when He’s taking her with Him. It is noble.

Angel Raziel

angel razielI took another quiz from Facebook, which angel are you? And the answer is Angel Raziel. I’m not so much into all these studies of Angels. But I got curious of who this Angel really is.

And if I want to learn something, where do I go? Of course, I go to google.com first, then to Wikipedia. And so, acoording to wikipedia, Raziel (Heb. רזיאל “Secret[s] of God”), is an archangel within the teachings of Jewish mysticism (of the Kabbalah of Judaism) who is the “Keeper of Secrets” and the “Angel of Mysteries.” He is associated with the Sephira Chokmah (the second of ten) in Olam Briah, one of the Four Worlds of Kabbalistic theory.

Various teachings assign Raziel to diverse roles, including that of a Cherub, a member of the Ophanim, and chief of the Erelim.

Raziel, under the alternate name Galizur, (”Revealer of The Rock”) is described as the “ruling prince of the 2nd Heaven. He is said to expound “the Torah’s divine wisdom,” and protects the ministering angels from the Hayyoth, the “holy Creatures” that uphold the universe.

Kids' Vacation

Next month will be my kids’ school vacation again. It’s going to be a one-week break so I’m planning on what to do for their vacation. And since I’m saving up for something else, I think we’re not going anywhere. Maybe we’re going to drive somewhere for a day trip. Maybe go to Genting Highlands. Maybe make a one-day trip to Port Dickson or Melaka. My parents would still be around, I guess so it’s good to take them with us. We cannot do rv camping because it’s not viable here in Malaysia. Also, there’s not any rv towing services here. So we’ll probably just settle for a day trip. Maybe go to Sunway club for swimming everyday for 5 days. LOL. I guess that would be too much. Anyways, I’m still planning. There are endless possibilities of doing one-day breakaways.

Exercise Machine

So many exercise machines are being introduced nowadays. One of them is the Kettlebells. Apparently, when used, it helps a person lose weight, build muscles and more energy. My take on these exercise machines is that you have to use it properly and follow instructions carefully. Otherwise, we waste our time and energy in doing it. Also, if you really really wanna lose weight, exercise with right equipment alone does not help. You have to establish a healthy lifestyle too.

I remember when I was still working back in the Philippines, my officemate and I wanted to lose weight so we enrolled ourselves in a gym. So three times a week, after work, we would go to the gym. But you know what, right next to the gym is a restaurant where they serve a very nice ice cream. So what did we do? After gym because we would feel very thirsty, we would go inside that restaurant and eat ice cream!

So our gym membership didn’t work. In fact, I realized that when we did that, the more we gained weight. So we stopped going to the gym and eventually, stopped eating ice cream that much.

It’s really in our balanced lifestyle that we achieve our goals in losing weight.

Solar Eclipse on July 22, 2009

SolarEclipse1999I can’t remember when’s the last time I saw a solar eclipse. I think it was in my primary years that we were all excited to see the eclipse. We prepared a lot of things to be able to see the eclipse. According to the supersitious beliefs, you can’t directly look at the solar eclipse which we gladly believed. So we looked at the sun using negative films, sunglasses, etc. I think there’s a scientific explanation. No one can actually really look directly at the sun. And when you look at it directly, you won’t be able to see the eclipse. But when you use sunglasses, it will be very clear.

So yes, tomorrow, on Wednesday morning of July 22, 2009, there’s going to be a total solar eclipse.

The solar eclipse will be visible from a narrow corridor through northern India, eastern Nepal, northern Bangladesh, Bhutan, the northern tip of Myanmar, central China and the Pacific Ocean, including the Ryukyu Islands, Marshall Islands and Kiribati.

Totality will be visible in many large cities, including Surat, Vadodara, Bhopal, Varanasi, Patna, Dinajpur, Chengdu, Nanchong, Chongqing, Yichang, Jingzhou, Wuhan, Huanggang, Hefei, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Huzhou, Suzhou, Jiaxing, Ningbo and Shanghai, as well as over the Three Gorges Dam. According to some experts, Tareganain Bihar is the “best” place to view the event.

A partial eclipse will be seen from the much broader path of the Moon’s penumbra, including most of South East Asia (all of India and China) and north-eastern Oceania.

Elegance

I just finished another book entitled Elegance by Kathleen Tessaro. It’s actually a novel. But the writer’s writing style is inspired by Elegance, a book by Genevieve Antoine Dariaux. The Elegance by GAD was a guiding inspiration for this book.

It’s a story of an American woman, Louise Cannova living in England. Recently divorced, she just realizes that after being mistaken as pregnant, she has to do something about it. And she picks up a book by Genevieve Antoine Dariaux and it became her guideline with her pursuit of getting elegant. Genevieve apparently wrote fashion tips from A-Z. The flow of the story goes with that.

Louise religiously follows the tips. She painstakingly goes to the gym, changed her diet (and if i was the author, i would throw in her popping in those top rated diet pills for an effect) but at the end of the day, she realizes that elegance can be acquired only at the price of numerous errors that are best remembered with good humour and in the end, it is in the moments when we forget ourselves entirely that we are at our most beautiful.

That’s exactly what the world describes as beautiful.

But for me, being beautiful is not skin deep. It’s beyond what we can see by our naked eyes. The heart reflects what’s really inside. And the heart, of all things, reflects the true beauty of a woman. God is beauty. And when we have God in our hearts, we reflect the beauty that is real and radiant. And it glorifies God.

And it makes people wonder. What is it about her? How can she be that confident? Confidence that is void of any insecurities. When I say insecurity, it covers both having superiority complex and inferiority complex. I wouldn’t say which race has which complexities because it is universal. We all, in some way or another, at some point in our lives are insecure, regardless of race… regardless of age.

However, God, in us, gives us the confidence that whatever and whoever we are, we are wonderfully made… and that in itself gives us reason to be proud.. that He made us… and He is in us.

And that’s a real beauty. God. In us.

Different Gifts, Different Ways

“God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”

—1 Corinthians 12:6 7

Encouragement for Today

God works in different ways with different people. We need to let God do his work in his own way in the lives of other people rather than trying to codify our own experience of him to make it normative for other people. Are you open to how God might be working in other people’s lives, and do you look for ways to enhance that through your own spiritual gifts? That is how Jesus wants us to relate to each other as his body.

I Love the Internet

Internet brings the whole world right at your finger tips. But when misused, it can also break. I have been taking slow in the internet these days. I find I can do more. It just so hard to stay away from it because most of the time, I’m alone at home. I am the kind that want to find out everything. I hear one term I haven’t come across before, I straight away go to the computer and connect to the internet and start with google.

When kids are sick, I straight away check the internet to see what’s really causing them to be sick. There are some home remedies that I have learned just by clicking through the internet. And before purchasing things, I check the internet on which product is the best one to buy. This would include the best weight loss products, best hair loss products, or simply best products to purchase. You can actually do shopping online!

Having internet at home is truly very convenient. But our house doesn’t have internet now. I still come back to the old house to check on the internet. But hubby is working on transferring our line from our old house to the new house. Just can’t wait.

Guardian Angel

Who is your Guardian Angel? I took the quiz from Facebook and here’s the result:

My Guardian Angel is Michael.

Michael
“Who is like God”, “Like unto God”, “Who is like the Divine” The first Angel created by God, Michael is the leader of all the Archangels and is in charge of protection, courage, strength, truth and integrity. Michael protects us physically, emotionally and psychically. He also oversees the lightworker’s life purpose. His chief function is to rid the earth and its inhabitants of the toxins associated with fear. Michael carries a flaming sword that he uses to cut through etheric cords and protects us from Satan and negative entities. When he’s around you may see sparkles or flashes of bright blue or purple light. Michael is helping if you find yourself under psychic attack or if you feel you lack commitment, motivation and dedication to your beliefs, courage, direction, energy, vitality, self-esteem, worthiness. Michael helps us to realize our life’s purpose and he’s invaluable to lightworkers helping with protection, space clearing and spirit releasement. Michael conquered the fallen Angel Satan, was in the Garden of Eden to teach Adam how to farm and care for his family, spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai and in 1950 he was canonized as Saint Michael, “the patron of Police Officers,” because he helps with heroic deeds and bravery. Michael also has an incredible knack for fixing electrical and mechanical devices, including computers and automobiles. Michael helps us to follow our truth without compromising our integrity and helps us to find our true natures and to be faithful to who we really are. Michael’s message is dont be afraid to stand for what you believe in and to fight for what you desire in life!!
