Beautiful Interior

The place we’re staying at right now has a very beautiful interior. I can’t believe I am in an American house now. I think it hasn’t sunk in yet, with me being in America. It’s like I’m still in my day-dream. They have a real fireplace and she lit the fire last night to make us all feel warm and cozy while catching up. Not sure whether it’s Minka Aire, but the lightings sure do look very pretty. My husband is so encouraged to beautify our home interior when we get back to Malaysia. … Read entire article »

Going Shopping Today

I am going shopping later. I am excited. Last night our host named all the malls and asked us to check online what they have. While I was surfing the net for the malls, I kind of stumble on one of those sites that lists a life insurance rates. I didn’t stay long in checking out their rates because I was more interested in checking out what those shopping malls have to offer. LOL. Today, we’re going to hit Nortpoint Mall, Phipps, and Dawsonville Outlets. Fun! … Read entire article »

Travel Album

One of the things I wanna do next year is to make a travel album. I do have a travel blog… and my online friends can see the places I have gone to. But I would like to make a hard copy of my travels. That would mean I have to print out the digital photos I took. I know it’s gonna require some money to do this. But I would like to do it slowly. Maybe invest in a printer. But oh… I remember I do have a couple of photo printers. I never used both. I guess this is the right time to take them out from the chest and start printing those photos. I just need to buy one of those Flexo ink cleaners. I think I … Read entire article »

Business

One of my friends who came and stayed with us for a Christmas break asked me whether I have an investment of some kind in the Philippines. I told her no, I don’t have and I’m not keen in doing so. She asked me why not… such pushy girl, I thought. LOL. Anyways, now that she asked, I kind of thought about why I wouldn’t wanna invest in the Philippines… or anywhere else. Number 1, I won’t have that much money to use for investing in a business. She disagreed – she said I didn’t have to have that much. I could do a monthly investment. Did I tell she’s a bit pushy? LOL. Anyways, number 2: I am not very good when it comes to business. If ever I … Read entire article »

Driving on the Wrong Side

In Malaysia, we drive on the right side. Not that I do drive. But people  drive on the right side. The road system is different. They drive on the right side of the car on the left side of the road. I think that’s derived from the Bristish system. In the Philippines, people drive on the left side of the car on the right side of the road. It can get quite confusing sometimes and you have to switch your mind to the system. In Thailand, they do use the British system so when people from the Philipines or USA go there, they have to make that important switch. It can get really dangerous because some people forget. They end up in an accident. That is why some people, especially … Read entire article »

Our Host

We have a lovely host for this trip in America. She has a lovely house, too. I just told her yesterday when we came in that coming to her house is like coming to a 5-star miami hotel. It is really true. The house is huge… and cozy at the same time. I actually wanna take pictures of the whole house but I wonder if I would be trespassing her privacy. I better not. Or probably I can ask her if it’s okay. That can wait. We still have a few days left to stay here. … Read entire article »

Snow…

No. It doesn’t snow in Atlanta. That’s what I have been told. Too bad I can’t see snow in this trip. Anyways, when we asked our friend about it, she said the people in Atlanta prefers it. They all get affected when it snows. She says it gets really spooky and nobody wants to drive. It kind of have an effect in their careers, businesses, etc. So they are thankful that it doesn’t snow much in Atlanta. … Read entire article »

Affordable and Helpful

The first thing hubby and I took care of when we started a family was to make sure we both got a good but affordable health insurance. Having to choose from so many companies, we finally decided to settle with one. It has been very helpful not only to us, but to the kids as well. Recently I got in touch with a friend who is in Thailand. She told me she did not have to go home to deliver her baby—what she did was she mailed all the receipts to the Philippines and got a refund from her Philippine health insurance! Wow. I was toiling with the idea that I will reactivate the one I had from years back. With two health insurances, maybe … Read entire article »

Moving Madness

I hate moving outs. For one thing, I could easily get attached with the house, and all the memories it holds. But this year, we just had to move out. Box after box, I sorted things– clothes, books, dolls, toys, furniture. It was hard to decide which ones to keep and which ones to throw away! And now the moving part. I just wished I called one of those cross country moving companies to do the dirty job! But before I could think of that, friends came in to help, making it so much easier for us. … Read entire article »

Natural

I think I need to start looking for natural weight loss pills. I need to be skin and bones by 26 of December. Is that a tall order? I’m sure it is. With the way my appetite works these days… I truly think it is a tall order. I easily get hungry. And I always think about food. I try very much to avoid eating between meals… but sometimes, I’m too tempted to eat snacks… especially when I see food posted by my friends in Facebook or in their blogs.I always say that I need to start exercising soon but up and until now, I haven’t started yet. I need help! … Read entire article »
