My friend recently graduated from the university and I promised to give her a gift for her graduation but I was not able to because I was not present during her graduation last April. My mind has been boggled because I do not know what to give her exactly. All I know is that she loves pink and since I am not into fashion and I suck in choosing clothes, so clothes are out. Another option is to give her a bag but the problem is she has so many bags and I wanted my gift to be significant. It would have been easier if she was a tech savvy so that I could give her ipod accessories or anything she could use every day but she is not. So I’m stuck again.
How does one choose a gift for a friend? There are so many choices and so little resources. Maybe I would give her a card with my love so that it would be special, corny and unusual since this is the age of cyber space and e-cards. However, I know that she would be happy to receive anything from her friends.

This is my library. Okay, it’s a bit messy. But it just shows we’re actually using it. LOL. I cannot keep a neat and tidy library. As my kids would always come looking for books to read. And hile doing it, they would actually play with some things before finding the book they want.
Well, I tried to organize my shelves. In fact I used to sell used books before, especially those that were really old. It has helped me get rid of some clutters. But as the days go by, we accumulate more books. I believe it’s a good investment too, especially that I have a son that loves to read.

Due to power shortage here in the Philippines especially in Miagao, we are expecting black-outs every day. Actually, if the day comes that there will be no black out would be close to a miracle. And it is very difficult for us students if this happens because aside from the hot climate, we cannot study nor do our research in the internet. So we stock on candles, batteries, flashlights and rechargeable lanterns in order to be ready. We have become more proactive because this has been happening for three years. The only fun thing during black outs is that we have an excuse not to study and so we tell tales and gossip among ourselves. But it’s no longer fun if we have papers to pass or exams to study. So we call our service provider every night and they come up with the same lame excuses and it really pisses us off because we cannot do anything. We are thinking about buying a generator, which is of course, impossible.

I was just saying my good nights to my kids because I wanted to go to sleep already. But I remember I have to be up so I can catch up with work. It is good that I can do my work on my computer and internet. Internet really has made our lives easier, more convenient, and richer. You can find just about anything just by surfing the net. You can buy stuff online. You can even purchase insurance online. It is amazing how advance technology can make things more conducive. The setback: lazier us. Ugh!

Father’s Day is just around the corner. Have you thought of any present you may give to your spouse, or father? There are of course, a few gift ideas I could think of. You can give pens, a shirt, a tie, or whatever your man loves to have. Of course, it is best to give personalized gift. I am sure if you do, it’s going to be a hit. You can give personalized mouse pad… any thing. For some, gifts are not that significant. They want to see love in you. So show some love and make everyday a father’s day. Hmmm. I think that’s a tall order for me. LOL.

I have read some prevera reviews. I guess I need to. I am an irregular user of night creams. I know the benefits of using it regularly. What I usually do is use the regular moisturizer on my face for both morning and evening 3-step skin care. But knowing that I am catching up with age, I should start doing things the proper way. A couple of weeks ago, I tried using night cream for my morning regime and after a few days, I had a few breakouts. LOL. Shame.

This week, I had been going to the bank to fix my atm card problem. It was blocked because wrong pin code was keyed in. And so, to fix it, we had to present my passbook. The problem was, I have lost my passbook. So I had to replace a new one. But I needed my passport to change my passbook. So I had to come back home to take my passport. And when I finally had my new atm card, I had problem accessing it. So I had to go back to the bank again. That’s when I noticed an advertisement for an educational insurance for children. On onne of the photos of a child playing with blocks, the blocks spelled that of eczema. LOL. It was funny. Unknowingly, they were advertising natural treatment of eczema, too. I wonder why nobody noticed it. It’s kind of funny. They’re advertising both the insurance and eczema treatment. LOL. Of course, I won’t mention which bank I went to. I have been using toner for my skin for ages now. I use it twice daily… errr almost twice daily. I had been using it with cotton squares to rub on my face. Until one day, when I and my friend shared a room when we went for a holiday and she noticed how I applied toner on my face. She said, it’s not advisable to do that. You just slather the toner on your face because if you rub it with cotton squares, chances are, the toner won’t stay on your skin. And so I have been trying to do as she suggested. Right now, I don’t see any difference though. But with me catching up on age, I try everything I learn. I am hoping my skin won’t age fast. That would be the time when I’d start looking out for best anti wrinkle cream. I am almost in my 40’s… and it’s a fact. I am getting there. And I am getting it. I just hope I’d know how to delay it.
