Hubby has a conference in the U.S. and guess who is tagging along? We decided to go a few days before the conference starts so we could also go sight-see. Hubby has been out of the country a lot lately which leaves me with the kids most of the time. I don’t mind, actually… but this trip and our time together would definitely be a good break for us. I am looking forward to days without having to do laundry and not having to worry about what food to prepare. You know, the never-ending household chores! Haha. My son has been into sports lately. He started practicing badminton already. He still looks a bit awkward hitting the shuttlecock, though. But hey, he’s only 6 years old. And he’s a normal boy. LOL. Anyways, he also wants to learn lawn tennis and table tennis. I have bought a pair of tennis rackets before, for my husband and me to practice with. And my son wants to use them now. I told him when he grew up he could use the real tennis rackets. It won’t be a surprise that one day, we’re going to buy a newgy table tennis for him to play on. When my kids were just babies, I hesitated in taking them off for a holiday break, especially when I knew that we would be going for an island getaway. I guess there’s this fear that something might happen while on a boat ride… maybe the boat might tip over or something like that. But recently, I’ve been seeing parents who are taking their babies on island getaways. They even take their baby strollers and or ergo baby carrier with them.
